Prairie Coteau Watershed Improvement & Protection Project

Clear Lake is located in central Marshall County south of Highway 10.   Land use in the watershed is about half cropland and half range/pastureland.

Maximum Depth: 20 feet 

Mean Depth: 12 feet

Lake Volume: 13,044 acre-ft

Surface Area: 1,170 acres 

Shoreline Length: 7.6 miles

Watershed Acres: 21,826 acres

 

Major Tributaries: One unnamed tributary enters north from Long Lake,  a second unnamed tributary enters east from North Red Iron Lake.  Clear Lake overflows to  Roy Lake

 

Warm Water Permanent Fisheries: black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, common carp, fathead minnow, green sunfish, johnny darter, largemouth bass, northern pike, smallmouth bass, walleye, white sucker, yellow perch
